1. Parry Game
Raider gets a top heavy on all side light attacks and a side heavy on all top light attack parries.
Versus Assassins Raider gets a top heavy on ALL light parries.
On long range attacks, he gets a light attack in the opposite direction of the attack.
Off a GB he gets a zone attack (beware: Assassins can parry this rarely)
Off a GB he can also his forward throw, if you hit them into a wall you get more damage than doing a regular zone and preserve stamina while draining your opponent’s stamina. If they are thrown on the floor you can go for a zone or a stunning tap while they are getting up.
2. Max Punishes
If you parry an opponent who is out of stamina you go for a light while they are falling into zone finisher
If you parry an opponent and put them OOS as a result you can GB them. If they are not near a wall throw them behind you and go for a stunning tap into zone finisher.
If you parry an opponent and put them OOS because of your GB and you are in your LEFT guard. You can throw them behind you and go for a heavy attack into a zone finisher.
If you parry an opponent and put them OOS near a wall you can throw them into the wall and go for a heavy on whatever side you are on. Most optimal would be a top heavy into zone finisher
If you use a zone finisher on a downed opponent they can get up and GB you. So if you are at risk of dying going for double side heavies or top heavies into zone mix up will be safer for less damage.
3. Mix Ups and Mind Games
Using your zone to force a reaction from your opponent is very useful. Some will try to dodge attack or dodge. Some will attempt to parry your zone and some won’t do anything. Zone cancel into GB beats parry attempts and dodge attempts but will lose to dodge attacks. Try to read your opponent and punish accordingly.
You can cancel any heavy or zone into stunning tap. Use this sparingly, stunning tap is easy to parry but can catch people off guard. Don’t over use it, try to catch your opponent off guard with them.
4. Defense and other tips
Raider can GB 200MS after dodging, so he can counter all 50/50’s such as warlord headbutt and warden shoulder charge with his dodge into GB. Use this tool to punish and catch aggressive opponents.
Raider charge is very useful in 4v4 environment. It is a little too slow to be effective against a competent 1v1 opponent but it can still be handy.
